Speaking

SpeakingI am available to speak to schools, faith-based groups, and civic groups who are interested in learning about topics such as parenting, anxiety, depression, and other issues related to helping young people be more healthy and happy. I am happy to participate in a panel discussion or present a keynote speech.

On parenting:

I found Andy to be compassionate and candid.  One is humbled to hear the woes of parenting being translated into a different viewpoint, a realistic viewpoint.”  – Mother of a middle school student

Andy is a relatable and thoughtful speaker. His topic of process-oriented parenting was both an encouragement and challenge for me. I know I am one of many parents who walked away with fresh ideas on connecting with my kids and enjoying the journey of family life.”
– Mother of a middle school student

I enjoyed Andy’s presentation so much, and I believe it is great advice for parents of all age children.”
– Chair of Parent Education Committee, Highland Park Middle School, Dallas, TX

On anxiety in children and teens:

Very informative and eye opening. I especially liked his explanations of different techniques to cope with anxiety.”
– Mother of an elementary student

“Andy’s presentation did a great job reminding me of what’s important, healthy and calming in today’s hectic world. It’s easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of work, school, sports, media, and so on. Those stresses, along with poor sleeping, eating and fitness habits, all amplify anxiety, and it was very enlightening to be reminded of the seemingly simple steps everyone can take to reduce life’s sources of stress and anxiety.
– Father of an elementary student
